Application:

Electronic Job Cards.

Purpose:

Information system for power plant maintenance.

Users:

Mechanics and electricians.

Environment:

Multimedia development system and Pentium-class hardware.

Comments:

After receiving a work order, mechanics would use this section of the Job Card application to locate plant equipment. They would first begin by clicking on a schematic of the system (work orders always reference schematic designations). This would then display a floor plan segment containing the equipment. If necessary, one more click would display a photograph of the equipment with audio information if desired. Other portions of the application provide reference information about the items shown in the main menu (top of screen).
